Job Posting: System Administrator and Lab Technician

We are seeking a System Administrator with a unique blend of technical, networking, and data management skills to support our institution's IT and lab infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Networking Tasks:

Data entry and Web interface skills

Perform networking tasks such as cable crimping, setup, and troubleshooting.

Maintain and monitor network hardware and software for optimal performance.

Ensure secure and efficient connectivity across the campus.

Laboratory Maintenance:

Manage and maintain computer and technical labs, ensuring all equipment is functional and up-to-date.

Assist in the installation and configuration of software and lab hardware.

Provide technical support to students and faculty during lab sessions.

Data Management:

Perform accurate data entry and maintain records of hardware, software, and inventory.

Manage student and faculty database systems.

Ensure data security and regular backups.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of basic networking principles, including crimping, cable management, and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in data entry with excellent accuracy and attention to detail with excel and database programs.

Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment and IT systems.

Basic understanding of hardware and software installation and configuration.

Ability to provide hands-on technical support to end-users.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field including Polytechnic

Certification in networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) is a plus.

Editing skills in Photoshop,Adobe Davinci , Illustrator is a plus

1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
