The System Administrator is responsible for deploying Intelerad's software solutions and maintaining the deployment procedures to enable clients to have the tools that will make a difference in their day-to-day operations. This is a position to work as part of a team to deploy complex applications remotely on Linux servers and/or Windows servers, which are used by hospitals and radiology clinics to schedule patients, perform reporting and billing, archive digital images, and provide the user community with access to this data across a WAN. Specifically, the operations entail configuration, deployment, upgrades, maintenance and analysis of Intelerad's software solutions. This position regularly requires working outside of regular office hours to minimize operational disruptions to our clients. After your initial training period, your schedule will be flexible outside of core business hours.
Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure Intelerad's software solutions remotely on Linux and/or Windows servers
  • Deploy new client production and test environments
  • Perform software upgrades
  • Perform proper testing after implementing changes
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages
  • Develop expertise to understand the impacts of different operations and changes
  • Suggest and participate in documentation maintenance and improvements
  • Actively look for ways to improve processes and technologies to deliver a better product
  • Participate in on-call rotation to assist with emergencies reported after hours
  • Work on week-ends, after hours and holidays when needed


Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network related fields
  • 1+ years of system administration experience
  • Approaches challenges as opportunities and sees every day as an opportunity to become a little bit better
  • Strong sense of ownership and dedication to results
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand medical imaging
  • Excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Attention to detail
  • Advanced knowledge of the following technologies:
    • Windows Server 2019 / Redhat Enterprise Linux 7 & 8
    • Microsoft SQL / PostgreSQL
  • Basic Knowledge of all the following technologies:
    • Linux Operating Systems
    • Windows Operating Systems
    • NoSQL and SQL Databases
    • Version tracking tools (Mercurial, Git, RCS), an asset
    • Networking
    • Storage
    • Shell, Python or PowerShell
