Purpose of Role: The System Accountant will work with key finance and business stakeholders to deliver three key functions: 1. Provide user support for issues and queries raised 2. Undertake scheduled audit and system checks activities 3. Support with the implementation of system and business changes including o Documenting business processes o System configuration and/or working with partners to configure the systems o Undertaking system testing o Triaging issues raised by the business o Assisting with user training and support o Change management Main Tasks and Responsibilities: Operational/Strategic Directing change management and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation (related to the Finance owned systems) Assist the Finance Systems Manager in developing and implementing a strategy to automate, and standardise finance business processes through the investment in and management of technology Investigate and analyse the business for opportunities to improve, enhance or replace applications. Identify and document business requirements and benefits associated with enhancements. Identify opportunities to use technology to improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness of finance-led business processes. Identify and communicate risks associated with projects. Maintenance of user and procedure manuals. Development of business cases to support system changes and initiatives Systems Administration Ensure that system changes deployed into finance have appropriate user training, technical support, administration and maintenance. Work with technologies teams to ensure that the Finance systems meet security audit standards and compliance Customer Focus Build and maintain relationships with external partners and suppliers Work with the technology teams to ensure that appropriate architecture and standards are complied with Manage internal customers to the professional standards of external clients, being careful to manage expectations, ensure high quality communication, issues management are in place. Meet with users to understand business requirements and advise / implement enhancements, arrange user training when required. Focus on quality of output and advice, ensuring that material is complete and professionally prepared, peer reviewed and to a high standard. Key Relationships: Internal Relationships Finance team Professional services, sales and projects teams Product teams Operations and business change teams Other key stakeholders External Relationships Vendors, Partners Person Specification: Experience / Knowledge An accounting and financial background Demonstrated history of facilitating system changes Experience in NetSuite Audit Control preferable Analysing Data and Running reports experience in using SuiteAnalytics financial reports and advanced searches preferable Experience in automating business and process and customising Experience with training staff Excellent communication and relationship building experience Work well as part of a team and be able to work individually as required Have a great attention to detail and a good knowledge of different accounting systems Understanding of IS change methodologies including agile Experience and expertise in business process review and change management Experience in operating with and leading virtual teams Experience of technology and multi-divisional businesses Personal Attributes A passion for excellence and a commitment improve and develop.
