For our Infrastructure operations we are searching for a System Engineer to support our global infrastructure operations based in Danfoss Campus in Chennai, India. You will join a team of highly skilled infrastructure engineers, that handles the global infrastructure at Danfoss. We are the foundation for all the services running around the world and need to secure a proactive approach to maintain high uptime and security of our services. It will be your role to support the daily operations of IT infrastructure. Job Responsibilities Be responsible for the daily support of server hardware, peripherals and basic network, eliminate all kinds of faults in time to ensure the normal operation of IT infrastructure globally. Mainly focus on supporting Client and Server related tasks, the time proportion is approximately 70%/30%. Client tasks: Tickets handling Software installation package building PC hardware management Software license management Server tasks: Tickets handling Server OS installation, configuration, operation and maintenance Server monthly patching support Background & Skills . Bachelor\'s degree or above, major in Computer Science, electronic communication or automation related. . 3-5 years of IT Infrastructure Operations engineering experience or other related supporting experience. . Common software development background and experience on PowerShell programming to make software installation packages, deep understanding in Automation mindset, experience on IT infrastructure Automation related knowledges is preferred. . Good at using software development tools/System like VS Code, Visual Studio, git, Azure DevOps, good habits in coding management. . Generic IT Infrastructure related Knowledges: a) Windows 2016/19, Windows 10/11, RH Linux. (fundamental knowledge and understanding at a hypervisor/OS level), Windows OS desktop editions family, especially on how to install a software in silent mode b) Software package tools like InstallShield, Inno Setup, NSIS, etc. c) Ability of doing script based automation on MS based platform d) Ability of trouble-shooting on MS based platform e) Virtualization / Cloud: VMware VSphere 8.0/7.0/6.7, Microsoft Azure/AWS, Vmware vCenter f) Network: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, DFS, operation experience of network equipment (switch, firewall, load balancing, etc.), g) IT Service Management Tools: (ServiceNow is preferred) . Experience on supporting HPE Hardware including Blades, Fibric Channel, standalone Servers, desktops, laptops, SAN Storage is preferred. . ITIL 4/VCP / VACP/MCSE/RH Linux certificate is preferred . Strong communication and coordination skills and a high sense of responsibility, as well as document writing ability in English .
