Oracle Cerner is elated to hire a System Engineer II. As a System Engineer II, you will perform daily system operations tasks to verify system integrity and availability, perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/OS upgrades, and resource optimization. In this role, you will implement monitoring for applications and servers, and respond to alarms in a timely manner, preventing client impact and performance degradation, manage changes and project activities, and communicate with impacted stakeholders. Your responsibilities also include, developing and deploying automation tools to optimize daily activities, completing assigned incident management tasks. Additionally, you will deploy, setup, and maintain complex testing environments and provide Tier III and other support per service request.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• At least 6 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
• At least 1 year of system administration and/or system engineering work experience
• At least 5 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:
• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 to 4 years of experience in providing Level 2 / L2 support and troubleshooting, Client support, customer support, Incident Management, problem management.
• Should have work experience in Unix or Linux.
• Good knowledge of SQL.
• Willing to work in the shift from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST.
