Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and workstations, including both physical and virtual environments.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls on Linux systems to ensure security and compliance with organizational policies.
• Implement and maintain security measures such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches.
• Monitor system performance and health on Linux systems, including CPU usage, memory utilization, disk space, and network traffic, and troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and backups on Linux systems to keep them running smoothly and securely.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters, including installation, configuration, and optimization for performance and scalability.
• Monitor the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters, using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, and troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
• Scale Kubernetes resources up or down accordingly to accommodate changing application workloads, adjusting pod replicas or horizontally scaling clusters as needed.
• Implement access control measures on Kubernetes clusters through RBAC, set up network policies, and ensure container images are free from vulnerabilities.
• Integrate Kubernetes into CI/CD pipelines using automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Argo CD to support automated application deployment.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for both Linux systems and Kubernetes clusters to ensure the integrity and availability of data and applications.
• Maintain Linux systems and Kubernetes clusters up-to-date with the latest patches and versions, ensuring they remain secure and compliant with industry standards.

Pay: ?263,759.98 - ?497,569.90 per year
