Synergy & Innovation Manager Purchasing Position Description Mission The mission of the Synergy & Innovation Purchasing Manager within Volvo Group Purchasing is strategically important, as the person would be responsible to plan and visibly drive strategic synergy projects between the different purchasing organizations in India. Reporting To: Head GTP India & Strategic line to Head of Group Synergies Purchasing Location: Bangalore, India Purchasing Synergy Manager Be the main interface towards other TD/BAs (Group Trucks Purchasing, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta), Joint Ventures and Strategic Alliances and contribute to the development of the Group Synergies Purchasing function. Develop and lead different purchasing synergy forums, such as Regional Synergy Steering Committee, Regional Synergy Working Group, Commodity Strategic line meeting with JV\'s and JVs Purchasing Synergy Meeting. Build & Drive Purchasing roadmap with JVs with full cross functional alignment. Support detailed data analysis on supplier, segments and parts base regionally and make recommendations. Drive identified synergy cases within TD/BAs, JVs and Strategic Alliances for implementation Support strategic discussions with common suppliers across all TD/BAs, JVs and Strategic Alliances in India. Assimilate and translate ideas/thoughts from different stakeholders regionally into workable proposals. Drive knowledge sharing within all TD/BAs and JVs regionally. Coordinate the formulation of the regional Synergy Execution Plan. Interface with Technology Synergy forum / other similar forums to bring in Purchasing synergy areas needing technology support. Coordinate and drive the purchasing synergy performance reporting regionally. Within Group Synergies Purchasing function, gather continuous improvement ideas and identify potential improvements through process assessment, anchor with relevant stakeholders, develop, implement and measure the outcome. Have regular dialogue with Head of Group Synergies Purchasing to understand needs, review priorities and communicate benefits/opportunities of synergies in different management forums. Work in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values. Innovation Purchasing Manager Coordinate TD/BA Purchasing requirements to support and develop the innovation framework in the region. Be the main interface to CampX / Innovation team in GTT / Bangalore towards exploring collaborations and making progress in partnerships with start-ups and universities. Develop expertise to tap new innovations from the supply market. Lead and drive all the strategic & contractual discussions with suppliers connected to CampX. Connect with New Technologies & Markets Strategic Line to share best practices from other regions. Work in accordance with the Volvo processes, the Code of Conduct and the Volvo Values.
