In this role, you will be project managing a global team of SW development engineers for the Ready Upgrade Product Lines. The team is responsible to develop the domain controller software assets and branches that support the release streams of Ready Upgrade products into the automotive sector. Primary duties involve developing feature roll out plan to align with the roadmap set by our product management organization, driving execution of the SW development and engineering teams to achieve milestones, release dates and ensure quality processes are followed. Other duties involve working with the development teams daily to remove obstacles, facilitate clear communication, provide a transparent vision for success, and to coordinate with the other product lines to ensure on-time delivery.
Your Team
You will be part of the Ready Upgrade SW Delivery PMO organization- a global team of SW Project Leads who oversee project execution across all Ready Upgrade product lines. Additionally- you will work closely with the SW and System engineering teams developing the products, the product managers, the scrum leader and the development quality group to ensure adherence to Harman's best practices and procedures.
What You Will Do
Responsible for delivering the software portion of products of ReadyUpgrade product line - On Cost, On Quality, On Time
Analyze and understand requirements for the features of the domain controller products.
Create, document, monitor, and report on the feature roll out plan including detailed timing and planning elements for the products and features
Work daily with engineering teams to understand dependencies, risks, technical concerns, defects, and priorities to ensure efficient development activities
Work with daily with product manager and other stakeholders who depend on the SW tools and dev kits to complete project execution
Facilitate regular releases from the software development branches including preparing artifacts such as release notes, test reports, and KPI reports as appropriate
Coordinate with Product validation teams to ensure design and requirements are verified and validated
Drive architecture solutions to technical challenges and ensure follow through from stakeholders.
Maintain a longitudinal view of the usability, access, and user satisfaction of our products.
What You Need
Experience in SW project management including frameworks such as Agile, SCRUM and or waterfall
Experience with Automotive Infotainment or Cockpit systems and products
Experience with SW development processes and activities
High attention to detail and organization
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
15-20+ years working in SW engineering or adjacent field
8-12+ years of Project Management experience
What is Nice to Have
Experience working within Model Based System Engineering framework
Experience working with vehicle diagnostics interfaces and standards
Good knowledge of Android Middleware (Drivers, HAL, Libraries, Framework etc) Knowledge on Testing Tools like CANOe will be an added advantage Exposure to Android tools and debugging techniques.
Previous experience in all phases of the software development process (Requirements, Scope, Design/Plan, Develop, Test, and Customer Acceptance.).
Experience in leading cross-functional teams across different geographies.
Knowledge of the agile model of Software Engineering meeting ASPICE compliance with defining CI/CD pipeline.
Experience in Business development activities, working on customer proposals and POC activities.
Understand of Automotive Safety (ISO26262, AUTOSAR) and Security Concepts.
Working knowledge of IBM ALM tools and Atlassian Confluence/Jira/Gliffy
