This role will work with companies across the value chain to decarbonise the aviation industry, accelerate the transition to a circular economy, and make the industry more sustainable.This role sits within our dedicated Sustainable Aviation team, part of the Aviation, Travel and Tourism consulting division, and would offer a range of opportunities to contribute to projects across the wider division.This position has the potential to be based in Delhi.What we do:Decarbonising aviation is essential but complex, and we work across the industry to develop the technologies, organizations and policies needed to achieve this ambition. The next decade is key, with companies across the industry Implementing sustainability strategies, supported by rapidly improving technologies, regulations, and a clear recognition of the need for change.We help clients to navigate this complex, evolving landscape. Our work spans the design and evaluation of policies, development of pragmatic sustainability strategies, and detailed implementation of sustainability initiatives. Our clients include many of the companies leading the transition - and many others seeking to accelerate their journey to more sustainability operations. Our team brings leading knowledge and experience in key areas \xe2\x80\x93 from sustainable fuels to carbon markets and the circular economy \xe2\x80\x93 and we work as an integrated part of the wider ICF team, leveraging our extensive experience in climate research, renewable energy, sustainable finance, and many other areas.Our experience has been gained through decades of work towards a more sustainable future, and we\xe2\x80\x99re proud to work alongside our aviation clients to achieve a sustainable, connected world:The skills and knowledge we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:Enthusiasm to drive the decarbonization of the aviation industry, and an understanding of the associated challenges and opportunities.Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in Chemistry, Engineering, Climate, Sustainability, or related fields.An understanding of sustainability is strongly preferred, ideally in any of (renewable) fuels, carbon markets (ETS, CORSIA), alternative fuels (hydrogen, electrification), policy development, or climate Impacts (aviation CO2, non-CO2 effects). This understanding should be demonstrated by experience working in a relevant field, and/or related studies.A demonstrated ability to write high quality reports, conduct robust assessments, and deliver engaging in-person presentationsAbility to work in a team to deliver effective solutions to complex problems, against budget and timescale constraints.Expertise in Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required, knowledge of PowerBI or Python is desirableHave an overall experience of at least 2-5years in relevant fieldsHow you will make an impact:Deliver sustainability projects with airlines, energy suppliers, and companies across the aviation value chain.Working in the detail of initiatives, including developing strategies, building analyses, researching, writing, and presenting reports and coordinating teams.Support business development by promoting ICF\xe2\x80\x99s leading position for aviation sustainability services.
