As a Sustainability Specialist, you would be involved in leading the collation of Lubrizol\'s Sustainability data and metrics. You will own gathering, examining, and sharing various sustainability items that cover environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data for Lubrizol. You will also assist the organization in assessing and enhancing its sustainability performance, following relevant standards and regulations, and reporting its impact to stakeholders. This would include activities related to greenhouse gas emissions for all scoped emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3), air emissions, water, waste and other utility measurements and reporting.What We\'re Looking For (Responsibilities / Accountabilities):

  • Collect data and calculate the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for Scope 1 and Scope 2 environmental reporting from Lubrizol\'s sites.
  • Coordinate the data gathering for Scope 3 emissions calculations and support the incorporation of supplier data into environmental footprint activities of products and business operations, such as life cycle assessments.
  • Management of LCA/PCF data including regular updates to emissions databases (e.g. EcoInvent) and software tools (e.g. SimaPro).
  • Oversee the internal software systems for data collection (RCDMS) and visualization tools (PowerBI)
  • Head the project to evaluate and choose an external vendor to verify the correctness of Lubrizol\'s estimated Scopes 1 and 2 data (Annual Footprint Audit).
  • Lead the project to evaluate, choose and apply new software tools and data management systems needed for the precise reporting and disclosure of all sustainability information.
  • Distilling and summarizing sustainability data to support internal and external environmental projects and initiatives to provide support as needed to communicate internally and externally status, progress against environmental goals and objectives and initiatives, including those related to corporate and product footprint impact and reduction, performance and efficiencies across the business, supply chain, product development, capital decisions and external messaging.
  • Maintain process documents for the various aspects of data collection and calculation.
  • Maintaining positive, proactive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Skills That Make a Difference:
  • Passion for Sustainability
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Data analytics, Sustainability or related field. Masters degree or higher a plus.
  • Five or more years of experience in a technical, analytical, or similar role in a chemical manufacturing or chemical technology company
  • Strong analytical, technical and data management skills
  • Commitment to learn new concepts and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work successfully with internal customers / groups.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and address challenges.
  • Be able to communicate and give presentations effectively and professionally.
  • Be comfortable executing on multiple projects and high-quality deliverables simultaneously.
