As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi and providing an exceptional dining experience for customers. You will ensure the use of fresh ingredients, maintain a high standard of food safety and hygiene, and demonstrate mastery of traditional and modern sushi-making techniques. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for Japanese cuisine.Responsibilities:
Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, maki, and specialty rolls.
Ensure the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients and maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
Collaborate with the head chef and management to design and update the sushi menu, incorporating traditional and innovative dishes.
Create seasonal and special menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
Monitor inventory levels and manage ordering to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering a high level of service and addressing any concerns promptly.
Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate the preparation of sushi and other dishes.
Perform regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes meet the restaurant's standards for taste, presentation, and freshness.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant.
Good knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
Ability to work both fast and accurately
Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
Flexibility to take on various shifts
