Job Description

A SUSE Enterprise Linux Server for SAP 15 SP 6 or SUSE Linux Administrator with knowledge or experience in the following:

System Installation and Configuration:

1. Install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) for SAP Applications: (SAP is optonal)

- Plan and execute the installation process, ensuring compatibility with SAP applications.

- Configure network settings, storage options, and necessary system services.

2. System Configuration and Management:

- Configure and manage system settings for optimal performance.

- Implement best practices for system security, including firewalls and user access controls.

SAP Application Support:

3. SAP Environment Setup:

- Install and configure SAP HANA databases, application servers, and related components.

- Ensure proper integration with SUSE Linux and configure high-availability setups.

4. Performance Monitoring and Tuning:

- Monitor system performance and make adjustments to improve efficiency.

- Use tools like SUSE Manager and SAP Solution Manager for proactive monitoring.

Maintenance and Updates:

5. System Updates and Patch Management:

- Apply patches and updates to the operating system and SAP applications.

- Ensure system compliance with security and operational standards.

6. Backup and Recovery:

- Implement backup strategies and ensure regular backups of critical data.

- Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure system availability.

Troubleshooting and Support:

7. Issue Resolution:

- Diagnose and resolve system and application issues.

- Collaborate with SAP and SUSE support for critical issue resolution.

8. User Support:

- Provide support to end-users and application teams.

- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.

Automation and Optimization:

9. Automation:

- Implement automation scripts for routine tasks using tools like Ansible or SUSE Manager.

- Optimize system processes to reduce manual intervention.

10. System Optimization:

- Conduct regular system audits and tune system parameters for optimal performance.

- Recommend and implement improvements based on system performance analysis.

Compliance and Documentation:

11. Compliance:

- Ensure systems comply with internal policies and external regulations.

- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

12. Documentation:

- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.

- Develop and maintain operational guidelines and best practices.

Professional Development:

13. Continuous Learning:

- Stay updated with the latest developments in SUSE Linux and SAP technologies.

- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Collaboration:

14. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with network, storage, and application teams to ensure system integration.

- Participate in planning and implementation of new projects and initiatives.

Pay: ?70,000.00 - ?140,000.00 per month
