Job Description


-MAJOR RESPONSIBILITYResponsible for assisting Section Manager to attain sales target, control stock level, minimize shrinkage, maintain and improve stock display and replenishment, create high standard customer service, and manage effectiveness of employeesxe2x80x99 performance in department.SPECIFIC DUTIES AND JOB FUNCTIONS1. Drives sales of Fresh Food area; Closely working with Section Manager for department profit and loss, margin, shrinkage management and budgeted costs2. Ensures the freshness and quality of all stock, including monitoring of sell-by date and proper FIFO rotation of related stock3. Creates customer satisfaction by building relationships and work with staff to make eye contact when greeting customers or accompanying customers to the specific location of a requested item4. Execute Retention and expansion of customer base through service level with the Section Manager.5. Assist in conducting and coordinating PI activitiesxefx82xb7 Ensure preparation is completed before the Perpetual Inventoryxefx82xb7 Ensure articles, bays, aisles are located according to ALC planxefx82xb7 Locate and arrange for articles to be placed on the registered aisle/bayxefx82xb7 Pre-count articles are counted accurately on PI dayxefx82xb7 Key the stock counted into hand-held systemxefx82xb7 Check variance reports and do third count sheet the next day xe2x80x93 work closely with Section Manager6. Ensuring presentation of the specifications of Bakery products to customers.7. Minimize shrinkagexefx82xb7 Propose and allocate stocks in xe2x80x9clow riskxe2x80x9d areasxefx82xb7 Discuss with subordinate to be aware of theft, damage, loss of merchandisexefx82xb7 Discuss with Section Manager and plan PI schedulexefx82xb7 Check out the process of stock counting to ensure procedure is followedxefx82xb7 Constant checking and following up with staff on the accuracy of the counting and recordingxefx82xb7 Control level of high shrink product displayxefx82xb7 Re-check high shrinkage product upon receipt at GR departmentxefx82xb7 Ensure that damaged assets are handled following proper procedurexefx82xb7 Follow-up with any customer items requiring repair8. Ensures the department equipment is used properly, maintained according to manufactures guidelines and is in good working condition; coordinate with ALC & GA Departments on cleaning tools, etc. regarding maintenance requirements for Scales, etc.9. Daily updates to Section Manager on ordering DC & Direct Supply and recommends adjustments or cancellation as planned.10. Stock loss prevention & waste management;xefx82xb7 Ensure stock accuracy for all fresh departmentsxefx82xb7 Ensure the control disposal and clearance of articles10. Monitor operation and maintenance of machinery/equipmentxefx82xb7 Ensure that department equipment is used properly and maintained according to manufactures guidelines and kept in the right placexefx82xb7 Coordinate with ALC & GA Department on equipment and cleaning tools for staffxefx82xb7 Ensure safety of all employees and customers xe2x80x93 safety procedures should be followed at all times, safety equipment should be utilized as stated in company policies, forklifts must be operating in safe manner with Spotters utilized during business hours, and department must be safe from potential accidents11. Market visits to update competitorsxe2x80x99 activities
