Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Production Management

• Responsible for daily shift-wise production planning
• To maintain target production output with rejection controls and quality.
• To monitor the production process and re-schedule, whenever required.
• Responsible for inventory control during the shift
• Responsible for manpower utilization during the shift
• To maintain shift-wise production data in terms of quantity produced, % rejections, down-time, Material consumption, power consumption

Resource Optimization

• To take measures to decrease the operating cost.
• To minimise total downtime due to various factors

Continuous Improvement

• To implement quality guidelines, tools, techniques etc
• To identify new improved processes for productivity improvement

Maintenance

• To co-ordinate with maintenance staff for break-down and preventive maintenance of furnace
• To ensure proper furnace lining as and when done

Safety and Health

• To implement safety guidelines in the department
• To ensure proper house-keeping in the department

People Management

• To deal efficiently with the labour in the department

Technical Knowledge

• Physical properties and quality of raw material
• Metal chemistry of CI and SGI
• Microstructure of CI and SGI
• Charge calculation and sequence for different grades
• Effect of inoculation in metallurgy of CI
• Mg treatment in SGI
• Effect of trace elements in CI
• Interpretation of chill sample for quality of melt
• Knowledge of melting process
• Spectrometer and carbon equivalent meter
• Furnace lining and ladle lining
• Furnace overhauling
• Process control parameters

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?30,000.00 per month
