Job Description

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations on the production floor. This includes managing staff, ensuring product quality, meeting production targets, and adhering to safety standards. The supervisor will work closely with various departments, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure the timely and efficient production of goods.

Key Responsibilities :

• Team Leadership :
• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of production workers.
• Assign tasks to team members and ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure effective communication between all team members and other departments.
• Production Management :
• Monitor the production process to ensure it runs efficiently, within budget, and on schedule.
• Coordinate the work activities to ensure proper staffing levels for the production lines.
• Oversee the setup and operation of machinery and equipment, ensuring proper usage.
• Quality Control :
• Ensure that products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Perform regular inspections and audits to monitor product quality.
• Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Safety and Compliance :
• Enforce workplace safety standards and ensure adherence to OSHA regulations.
• Conduct safety training for new employees and ongoing training for the team.
• Maintain a safe work environment and handle any safety incidents or accidents.
• Inventory and Resource Management :
• Oversee inventory levels and manage raw material and finished goods supplies.
• Ensure that production materials are available in sufficient quantities to meet production demands.
• Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement :
• Identify and resolve production issues, including equipment malfunctions, delays, or quality issues.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Reporting and Documentation :
• Maintain records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and maintenance.
• Provide regular reports to the production manager or operations manager on performance, challenges, and achievements.
• Collaboration with Other Departments :
• Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure product standards are met.

Qualifications :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience : 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
