Supervisor - Dry Gas Seal System Engineering will report to Engineering Manager - Global DGSS Engineering, Function of this role is Managing End-to-End process of Gas Seal Support System (GSS) from Order intake to complete engineering deliverables for customer approval, procurement, and manufacturing releases. Accountable for the complete ownership of Post Order engineering output to enable all cross functional project/contract managers, supply chain, manufacturing sites etc. Motivate and develop engineering teams and enable smooth operation of the business, facilitating growth, communication, evaluation of their performance and enhance their skill matrix, hiring and training of new employees.
• Lead a teams of 4 to 8 Engineers for Dry Gas Seal Support System Post Order Engineering.
• Accountable for overall Engineering KPI 's and focus on OTD and Quality metrices.
• Training &; developing of empowered engineering team.
• Working directly with all internal stakeholders and align with them on Engineering Service Level to meet their expectation.
• I- Project - job management tool for Gas seal system engineering as a global tool, Support for migration from I Project to any alternative Engineering project / job management software as directed by Engineering Solutions management.
• Job Planning in DOSE & MS project, Distribution of the work among the team member and drive quality output well within the promise date
• Provide promise date to stakeholders based accurate estimation of man hours, resource planning and priority of the project.
• Accountable for on time submission of. Engineering deliverables, technical clarifications, Comments and Deviations, value added engineering solutions, technical clarification during customer approval cycle, working with supply chain team for identifying new vendors and technical alignment of critical components during execution stage. Assist advance procurement, communications to Operation / Contract Manager / Project Manager and manufacturing site leaders.
• Distil best practices for achieving growth and help replicate best practices on a worldwide basis.
• Drive teams KPI and achieve of self and team members.
• Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon company needs. Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company's goals! Qualifications
• A Bachler or master's degree (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline (Mechanical / Chemical/Instrumentation) with 8 + years' experience in technology development, engineering, or similar functions.
• At least 5 year engineering experience with at least 2 + years of Supervisor / team leader experience
• Domain knowledge in process equipment and seal systems in Polymer, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Aerospace, Refinery and Turbomachinery areas.
• Strong working knowledge of how the mechanical seal business and markets work, and how to create growth through engineering processes and products
• Good understanding of engineering process needs in design and operations, key business drivers and industry practices
• Excellent communication skills to articulate strategies and drive a coordinated action plan.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to prioritize and communicate clearly across all levels of the organization
• Ability to work in a deadline driven work environment, attention to detail, and multitasking are essential.
