Description:
Congos Lead




• Consult with users, analyze requirements and recommend technical design and specifications.


• Building relational & multi-dimensional reports using IBM Cognos Analytics 11.0


• Building reports and dashboards using SQL Server database, Oracle databases


• Selects the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements


• Partner with IT and support the design/configuration of Cognos framework


• Prepare technical, operational, and user-related documentation in support of report and report applications.


• Design, build and maintain dashboards and interactive reports in Cognos and other BI tools.


• Collaborates with key stakeholders, gathering business requirements, and translating requirements into reporting and dashboard solutions


• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs for insights & analytics.


• Translate numbers, trends, and data to consumable insights - both explanatory and exploratory.


• Architect, develop, validate, and communicate BI solutions such as reports, dashboards, KPIs and alerts.


• Understand modeling constraints and create elegant solutions to both present and deliver information for easy consumption.


• Define standards and procedures for best practices for visual intelligence design & development.


• Generating and delivering quality reports to clients and performing quality assurance checks on reports and dashboards


• Lead reengineering efforts for existing applications to align them with new standards and guidelines.


• Develop and maintain thorough system documentation and training materials related to software and hardware used for visualization.


• Able to identify incomplete data, improve quality of data and integrate data from several data sources.


• Collaborate with management and developers on the efficient use of Cognos and other visualization tools and how those technologies can be applied to effective data visualization applications.


• Understands the benefits of using state of the art methods and tools and their application on an engagement; contributes to continuous development of methods and tools


• Develops solutions to client problems through application of personal experience and methods and tools; validates solutions with subject matter experts


Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related IT discipline


• 6 to 8 years off Business Intelligence and Data warehousing lifecycle experience and strong knowledge in understanding of finance and business processes.


• Strong communication skills, both written and oral


• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills


• Experience with SAP, Costpoint, Business Objects and overall ERP / BI data and concepts


• Prior development experience working with Cognos Analytics 11.x and above


• Data model design and understanding in Cognos Analytics version 11.x Framework Model


• Expert knowledge and experience in Report Studio, Active Reports, Dynamic Cubes and Cognos Workspace


• Pretty strong with SQL and Database


• Able know-how of Cognos Administration


• Strong developing skills in Cognos Analytics Dashboard, Reports and Powerplay Cubes


• Collaborating with clients and Team to resolve tickets within deadlines


• Maintenance and Enhancing of existing models, reports and cubes


• Supporting and Training clients and end-users.


• Managing the minor enhancements for the team and coordination of business user acceptance testing


Key Skills


• Proven work experience as an individual contributor and team player


• Proficient with writing SQL queries.


• Knowledge on SQL Server database,dataware and dataware housing concepts and ETL concepts


• Experience building relational & multi-dimensional reports using IBM Cognos Analytics 11.0


• Partner with IT and support the design/configuration of Cognos framework


• Experience creating framework models using IBM Cognos 11.0


• Experience with writing JavaScript / JQuery code
