Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Sub Editor to join our editorial team in Kaloor, Kochi. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media, newspapers, or magazines, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to enhance the quality of written content. This role involves editing, fact-checking, and ensuring the accuracy and clarity of all published materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit and proofread articles, reports, and other content for accuracy, grammar, and style consistency
• Collaborate with writers and journalists to enhance content clarity and flow
• Ensure all content aligns with editorial standards and publication guidelines
• Fact-check information and verify sources to maintain the credibility of the publication
• Write headlines, subheadings, and captions that are engaging and relevant
• Work closely with the editorial team to meet publication deadlines
• Stay updated with industry trends and maintain a strong understanding of reader preferences

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
• 5-8 years of experience as a Sub Editor or in a similar role in media, print, newspaper, or magazine
• Exceptional command of the English language, with excellent grammar and editing skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with editorial guidelines and content management systems (CMS)

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
