The Student Counselor will be responsible for providing academic and career counseling to prospective and current students, specifically in the fields of healthcare and IT. This role involves extensive communication via phone to guide students through the enrollment process, course selection, and career opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
Telephonic Counseling: Conduct outbound calls to prospective students to provide information about the medical coding and medical scribing, medical transcription and HydraFacial skin treatment programs offered by the institute.
Student Advising: Offer guidance on course selection, program details, and career opportunities in the medical coding and medical scribing, medical transcription and HydraFacial skin treatment field.
Enrollment Assistance: Assist students with the application and enrollment processes, ensuring they understand the requirements and deadlines.
Follow-Up: Maintain regular follow-up with prospective and current students to address any queries, concerns, and provide ongoing support.
Career Guidance: Provide information about career paths in medical coding and medical scribing, medical transcription and HydraFacial skin treatment, including job opportunities, industry requirements, and career advancement.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all communications with students, including inquiries, follow-ups, and counseling sessions.
Collaboration: Work closely with the admissions team and other departments to ensure a seamless enrollment process for students.
Resource Management: Keep updated with the latest information on medical coding and scribing certifications, industry trends, and educational resources.
Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from students to improve counseling services and the overall student experience.
Required skills
Strong communication, negotiation and marketing skills.
Languages: English and Kannada(Required), Malayalam (preferred)
Good interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Empathy and patience in dealing with students.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
