Job Overview:
The Deputy Head of Student Welfare in the School of Maritime Studies plays a key role in supporting the overall well-being and development of students. This position involves collaborating with the Head of Student Welfare, managing specific student welfare programs, and assisting in the coordination of initiatives in extracurricular activities.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student welfare programs and services.
• Manage specific programs or initiatives designed to enhance student well-being and engagement.
• Provide counselling and support services to students, addressing both academic and personal concerns.
• Support the planning and execution of orientation programs to facilitate the smooth transition of new students into campus life.
• Provide ongoing support and resources for students as they navigate their academic journey.
• Ensure that students are informed about relevant policies related to their well-being.
• Manage student city leave process and student offence record.
• Collaborate with academic departments to address specific challenges impacting student welfare.
• Collect and analyse data related to student welfare programs and services.
• Assist in preparing reports on program outcomes, student satisfaction, and areas for improvement.
• Handle the grievance cell of the students and take necessary action as required.
