We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Lead Business Analyst.

In this role, you will:

The individual will be an integral part of the build-out of business-critical systems and substantial career opportunities will present themselves to the relevant candidate.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who demonstrates the following required Business Analysis attributes:

• Collaborate with the business to help produce clear and unambiguous business requirements
• Excellent team player who contributes to the overall project delivery.
• Ability to prepare business communication and requirement analysis plan.
• Comfortable in gathering requirements from the business and writing both functional and technical specifications.
• Ability to produce clear and concise documentation in Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Visio. Different documentation style and format dependent on audience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business users and the IT development team.
• Ability to manage conflicting business requirements and project scope.
• Ability to escalate risks, issues and dependencies to Project Management.
• A delivery-orientated approach to both individually assigned tasks and projects at all times.
• An integral aspect of this role is for the candidate to leverage their communication with stakeholders to most optimally quantify business needs to the development team.
• Testing delivered IT components and working with the Development team to resolve any identified defects

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Global Banking and Primary markets experience would be preferred but is not a pre-requisite if the applicant has good financial products or portfolio management experience.
• Supporting Project Managers within the department.
• Relevant experience of 6-8 years.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• Building on best practice.
• Review of defects and their prioritisation
• Ensure deliverables fulfil business requirements and quality levels.
• Develop a strategy to monitor and continuously refine the quality of reports and dashboards. Help identify likely quality problems ahead of time.
• Validate features and data for the dashboards.
• Provide feedback on usability.

The successful candidate will also meet the following requirements:

• Hands on working experience of working in an Agile project
• Full life cycle Business Analysis experience from requirements definition through to implementation within a business facing IT environment
• Complete formal knowledge of the document life cycle, terms of reference, technical and functional specs, business requirements and business cases
• Experience working with offshore development, analysis & test teams
• Problem solving and analysing an issue\\opportunity highly desirable.
