The Structure Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the structural components of the road construction project. This role requires ensuring that all structural work is carried out according to the project specifications, design requirements, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management:
• Supervise and coordinate all structural activities on the road construction site.
• Ensure that all structural works are executed in compliance with the project plans, specifications, and schedules.
• Quality Control:
• Inspect and verify the quality of materials used in structural works.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality of work meets the required standards.
• Safety Compliance:
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure that all safety measures are in place and adhered to.
• Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for the structural team.
• Team Supervision:
• Manage and lead a team of workers, including subcontractors involved in structural works.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor their performance.
• Technical Guidance:
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to structural challenges encountered during construction.
• Interpret and execute structural designs and drawings.
• Coordination:
• Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and project progression.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of structural works, including daily logs, progress reports, and inspection reports.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Problem Solving:
• Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to structural works.
• Proactively address any potential delays or risks to the project timeline.
Qualifications:
• Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising structural works in road construction projects.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting structural drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and regulations.
