Bachelor or Masters engineering degree in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
8 years of relevant experience in shipyard, offshore/Oil & Gas industry in design offices.
Experienced with hull structural design standards like DIN/JIS/Norsok as well as good understanding of ABS, DNV, API, AISC and other industry standards and regulations.
Fluent in English and Chinese with excellent technical writing and report writing skills.
Technical knowledge of structural design for marine and offshore structures.
Experience in heavy lifting crane structure design and package engineering.
Technical knowledge in installation and commissioning of structural items Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SACS, DNV-GL Sesam Genie, Staad Pro, Strand7.
Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently

Review project deliverables and provide structural schedule analyses.
Supervise builder's engineers, CAD designers, and contractors to ensure quality standards.
Conduct structural design and lifting calculations and review design proposals.
Liaise with builder and class to ensure technical/engineering requirements are met.
Provide training and coaching to engineers and CAD designers.
Ensure engineering work complies with OHSE requirements.
Conduct shipyard audits, risk assessments, and vessel inspections as required. Write technical specifications for shipboard equipment.
Execute duties of Project Engineer if required. Identify changes in project specifications, variations to contractual scope, and schedule impacts.
Review third-party technical documents and drawings and resolve technical issues.
Participate in design reviews, 3D model reviews, and implement necessary follow-up actions.
Plan and maintain manpower and resources required for smooth operation.
