Responsibilities:
• Aircraft Structures & Loads: Possess a deep understanding of aircraft structures and the various loads they experience during flight and ground operations.
• Hand Calculations: Highly proficient in performing structural analysis and stress calculations using classical methods, demonstrating a strong preference for hand calculations over sole reliance on Finite Element Modeling (FEM) software.
• Static Analysis: Experienced in conducting static analysis for aircraft structures and interfaces, including sizing and stress analysis, utilising a combination of hand calculations, validated methods, and potentially FEM software for verification.
• Legacy Data Management: Skilled in interpreting, understanding, and reproducing legacy stress calculations.
• Numerical Modeling & Reporting: Proficient in numerical modeling techniques, post-processing results, and extracting key data for clear and concise reporting.
• Stress Dossier Expertise: Highly skilled in creating comprehensive and well-documented stress dossiers, ensuring clear representation of structural analysis findings.
• Excel Macros: Possess strong skills in developing and utilising Excel macros to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency in data analysis.
Qualifications:
B.E/B.Tech - Mechanical Engineering
Essential skills:
• HyperView (post-processing knowledge): Proficient in using HyperView software for post-processing data obtained from simulations, visualisation, data analysis, and results extraction.
• CATIA V5: Skilled in using CATIA V5 to extract the dimensions of engineering components or structures.
• Excel : In-depth knowledge of Excel to record and analyse data and to improve efficiency.
• Nastran (FEA solver) & Patran (pre/post-processing): Experience in using Nastran for finite element analysis and Patran for pre- and post-processing of FEA models.
• Legacy Data Management: Skilled in interpreting, understanding, and reproducing legacy stress calculations.
Desired Skills:
• Python Scripting (Good to Have): Develop custom Python scripts to automate specific calculations or create analysis tools tailored to aerospace stress engineering needs.
• Excel VBA: Basic knowledge in VBA macros to automate tasks, manipulate data, and enhance efficiency in data analysis.
Experience:
Minimum of four years of experience as a Stress engineer
