The Store Supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing the storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials and components essential to the manufacturing process. This role involves leading a team, ensuring inventory accuracy, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining safety and quality standards in the storehouse.
Key Responsibilities :
• Inventory Management : Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring inventory levels are optimized and materials are stored correctly. Monitor and track raw materials, components, tools, and finished goods to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Stock Monitoring and Replenishment : Regularly check and update stock records, perform stock audits, and reorder materials to avoid production delays. Ensure that stock movements (in and out) are recorded accurately.
• Team Leadership : Supervise, train, and manage the store team, providing guidance on best practices for handling materials and maintaining order and cleanliness in the store. Assign daily tasks and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
• Order Fulfillment : Process material requisitions, prepare materials for production schedules, and ensure on-time delivery to the production floor.
• Safety and Compliance : Enforce safety guidelines in line with industry standards and company policies. Ensure the proper storage of hazardous materials, tools, and equipment to prevent accidents.
• Stock Audits & Reporting : Conduct periodic stock counts and reconciliation to ensure inventory records match physical stock. Provide regular reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and materials usage.
• Maintenance of Storage Facilities : Maintain a clean and organized store environment. Ensure all tools, materials, and machinery are stored securely and accessibly.
• Supplier Interaction : Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any discrepancies in deliveries or orders.
• Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of stock movements, damage reports, and consumables usage. Ensure the documentation is compliant with company policies and industry standards.
• Continuous Improvement : Suggest improvements in processes related to storage, handling, and inventory management to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
