- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions using computerized systems (ERP).
- Monitor stock levels to ensure adequate supplies for production while minimizing excess inventory.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and overstocks.
- Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials.
- Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery speed.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize procurement costs.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to maintain product quality and prevent damage or deterioration.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and other inventory management techniques.
- Oversee housekeeping and organization of the storeroom to facilitate efficient material handling and retrieval.
- Supervise and train store personnel to ensure effective performance and adherence to safety and operational procedures.
- Schedule and assign tasks to store staff to meet operational requirements.
- Motivate team members to maintain high levels of productivity and morale.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storeroom and warehouse areas.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory, safety, and compliance.
- Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and operational efficiency.
- Analyze data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Present findings and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
