Job Summary: As a storekeeper in firefighting projects, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory related to firefighting equipment and materials. This role involves ensuring timely availability of materials needed for installation and maintenance of fire protection systems in residential or commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and transactions.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure timely replenishment.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
• Material Handling:
• Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials.
• Issue materials as per project requirements while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Prepare regular reports on inventory status, consumption rates, and upcoming material requirements.
• Maintain documentation related to receipts, issues, and transfers of materials.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling and storing materials.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to fulfill material requirements.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding inventory status and material availability.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management software and MS Office suite.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
