: Storekeeper and Materials Handling Specialist for Air Conditioning Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to fulfill the role of Storekeeper and Materials Handling Specialist for our air conditioning department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring proper storage of materials, and facilitating the efficient movement of goods within the department. Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials related to air conditioning equipment and components. Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders as needed to ensure adequate supply. Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with records. 2. Storage Management: Organize and maintain the storage area for air conditioning materials, ensuring efficient use of space and easy access to items.Implement proper storage techniques to prevent damage or deterioration of materials.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations when handling hazardous or flammable materials. 3. Materials Handling:Receive incoming shipments of air conditioning units, parts, and supplies, and verify their accuracy against purchase orders.Safely unload and transport materials within the storage area using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and loading onto delivery vehicles. 4.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions, including receipts, invoices, and shipping documents.Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and storage conditions as required by management.Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the relevant stakeholders promptly. 5.Collaboration:Coordinate with purchasing, procurement, and other departments to ensure seamless flow of materials and timely fulfillment of orders.Work closely with the maintenance team to facilitate the retrieval of materials needed for repairs or installations.Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to resolve issues related to deliveries, quality, or pricing. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management or materials handling is a plus.Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the air conditioning or HVAC industry.Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office applications.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely, following proper manual handling techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to materials handling.
