Store Keeper

Job Summary :

The storekeeper is responsible for managing the inventory, stock levels, and overall organization of the store or warehouse. The role ensures that materials, tools, and goods are properly received, stored, and distributed promptly and efficiently, maintaining accurate records and optimizing inventory control.

Key Responsibilities :

• Inventory Management :
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials.
• Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory management systems.
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits to ensure consistency between physical stock and records.
• Stock Handling :
• Ensure proper storage of goods to prevent damage or loss.
• Organize items in an easily accessible and orderly manner.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Documentation & Record Keeping :
• Maintain detailed records of stock movements, purchases, and inventory adjustments.
• Prepare and maintain reports such as stock status, inventory valuation, and reorder points.
• Quality Control :
• Inspect goods upon receipt to ensure they meet quality and quantity specifications.
• Handle the return of defective or damaged goods to suppliers.
• Store Operations :
• Ensure the store is clean, safe, and organized.
• Comply with safety and health regulations in the storage area.
• Implement security measures to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
• Coordination :
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transporters to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Work closely with other departments (e.g., procurement, production, or sales) to fulfill their stock requirements.
• Equipment Maintenance :
• Oversee and maintain the proper functioning of tools and equipment in the store.
• Arrange for repairs or replacements when necessary.

Qualifications :

• Education :
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Certification or diploma in storekeeping, logistics, or supply chain management (preferred).
• Experience :
• Proven experience as a storekeeper, warehouse manager, or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and processes.
• Skills :
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Proficiency in inventory management software or ERP systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (as needed).
• Stamina for standing or walking for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
