• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring stock is stored appropriately and safely.
• Implement and monitor stock control systems, conducting regular inventory audits to prevent discrepancies.
• Coordinate with procurement to manage inventory replenishment, ensuring no shortages or overstock situations.
• Warehouse Management:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring materials and products are stored correctly and safely.
• Optimize warehouse layout and storage solutions to maximize efficiency and space utilization.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the warehouse.
• Logistics Coordination:
• Plan and coordinate the logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely delivery of materials and products.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with transportation providers, ensuring cost-effective and reliable service.
• Track shipments and resolve any issues or delays, maintaining communication with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and logistics processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and systems to support inventory and logistics operations.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for all warehouse and logistics activities.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and manage a team of warehouse and logistics staff, providing training and development opportunities.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities, ensuring all team members are aware of their roles and expectations.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and efficiency.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive records of inventory, shipments, and warehouse activities.
• Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, logistics performance, and other key metrics to senior management.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
