Job Responsibilities :
Key Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of all items in stock, including stationery, uniforms, books, and other school supplies.
• Conduct regular stock-taking and audits to prevent discrepancies.
• Forecast demand to ensure timely procurement and replenishment of materials.
• Procurement:
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source quality materials at competitive prices.
• Ensure adherence to school policies for vendor selection and procurement processes.
• Stock Distribution:
• Manage the issuance of materials to departments, ensuring proper documentation.
• Collaborate with teaching and administrative staff to fulfill their inventory needs promptly.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain detailed records of purchases, stock levels, and distribution activities.
• Prepare periodic reports for school management on stock status and procurement requirements.
• Budget Management:
• Work within allocated budgets for inventory and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Monitor expenses related to store operations.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure safe storage and handling of materials, adhering to regulatory and school standards.
• Manage waste disposal in an environmentally responsible manner.
• Team Coordination:
• Supervise store assistants (if applicable) and delegate tasks as necessary.
• Provide training on inventory and store management practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2-5 years) in store or inventory management, preferably in an educational institution.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
