Key Responsibilities:
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of all stock items, including food, beverages, cleaning supplies, and other operational items.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
• Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
• Stock Receiving and Issuance:
• Supervise the receipt of goods from suppliers, ensuring all items are accounted for and meet quality standards.
• Ensure proper storage of goods, adhering to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles.
• Issue stock items to various hotel departments as per requisition requests, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping:
• Maintain updated inventory records in the hotel's inventory management system.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on stock levels, consumption rates, and inventory discrepancies to the Purchasing Manager or General Manager.
• Supplier Coordination:
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback to the Purchasing Manager.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure that the storeroom complies with all health and safety regulations, including proper storage conditions and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular checks to prevent hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
• Team Management:
• Supervise and train store staff, ensuring they adhere to standard operating procedures.
• Schedule and manage the workload of store staff, ensuring efficient operations.
• Cost Control:
• Monitor inventory costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses without compromising quality.
• Assist in the preparation of the departmental budget and forecast inventory needs.
• Customer Service:
