: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Planning Engineer to join our stores department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in material planning, along with a diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering. This role will involve coordinating and managing the flow of materials to ensure the timely and efficient production of our products. Roles and Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Material Planning: Develop and manage material plans to meet production schedules and ensure timely availability of materials required for manufacturing processes. \xc2\xb7 Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track material usage, and maintain accurate records of stock to prevent shortages and excesses, ensuring optimal inventory levels. \xc2\xb7 Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with production and sales teams to forecast material requirements based on production plans and customer orders, adjusting plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand. \xc2\xb7 Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for improving material planning and inventory management processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. \xc2\xb7 Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of material plans, inventory records, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. \xc2\xb7 Problem-solving: Address any issues related to material shortages, delays, or discrepancies, working proactively to find solutions and minimize impact on production schedules. \xc2\xb7 Reporting: Prepare regular reports on material planning and inventory management activities, providing insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
