Position: Store Assistant

Job Summary:
The Store Assistant at International School Name is responsible for managing
and maintaining the school's inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials.
The Storekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring that all necessary items are
available for use by staff and students in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Receive, inspect, and record all incoming deliveries of supplies,
equipment, and materials.
2. Organize and maintain the school's inventory, ensuring accurate
records of stock levels and tracking usage.
3. Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent
shortages.
4. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of
orders and negotiate favorable terms.
5. Maintain a clean and organized storage area, ensuring that items are
stored safely and securely.
6. Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and reconciling
discrepancies.
7. Collaborate with school staff to fulfill requests for supplies and
materials in a timely manner.
8. Follow proper procedures for handling and storing hazardous materials,
if applicable.
9. Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines in the storage
and handling of materials.
10. Assist in the disposal of obsolete or expired items in accordance with
school policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in
inventory management is a plus.
Proven experience as a storekeeper or similar role, preferably in an
educational or institutional setting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications for inventory management.
