The Store Assistant is responsible for managing inventory, organizing materials, and ensuring the efficient operation of the store or warehouse. This role involves handling construction materials and equipment, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records in coordination with concerned departments to support the smooth execution of construction projects.
• Monitor stock levels and report on inventory needs to prevent shortages or excesses
• Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile physical inventory with ERP software records.
• Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of construction materials and equipment.
• Organize and store items in a systematic manner to ensure easy access and inventory control which must be uploaded on ERP Software
• Prepare and issue materials and equipment for use on construction sites.
• Ensure materials are correctly labeld, stored, and protected from damage
• Handle and transport materials safely, following health and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns through ERP Software.
• Update and manage inventory ERP databases and systems.
• Generate reports on stock levels, usage, and procurement needs.
• Assist in ordering and sourcing construction materials and equipment from suppliers.
• Track and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
• Adhere to company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment
• Ensure the store or warehouse is clean, organized, and complies with safety standards.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Store Manager.
• Provide assistance to Project managers, construction teams, and other staff regarding material requests and availability.
• Offer support and advice on product selection and usage.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to inventory transactions and stock levels
• Assist with filing and administrative duties as required by the Inventory Manager
