for GMS (Greenlake Management Services) Storage Engineer Engineer will be part of a 24/7 IT backup operations team and will be directly responsible for Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA storage and StoreOnce, MSL Library and understanding of SAN Fundamentals. Familiarity with any one enterprise Backup software: Commvault, Data Protector, Veeam is preferable. The position involves taking a leadership role with customer teams and internal teams to resolve problems, maintain managedbackupoperations and, when necessary, to return systems to operational status. The job also involves leading communication between other technical teams, customer and internal organization to fulfill customer needs and accomplish customer satisfaction. Job specific responsibilities include maintaining Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA storage, StoreOnce, MSL Tape Libraries and associated SAN infrastructure. complex Backup Solutions like Commvault, Data Protector, NetBackup which may involve Virtual libraries, Disk to Disk Backup systems, physical Tape Libraries, OS, Backup Software, Switch, SAN or Library components. Supporting and troubleshootingStorage and SAN issues in widely distributed environment. Plan and implement best practices forStorage and SAN solutions. Proactive measures to ensure adequate storage (Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, MSA or any HPE storage in scope) capacity is available. Create SOPs and update documentation forvarious Administration activities on Storage and SAN. Create and update documentation on 3PAR storage solution, Remote Copy groups, backup groups, Host mapping etc. Perform configuration changes as per design and build. Experience : Required: Hands on experience on Administration of Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA - LUN creation, extension, Virtual Copy, Snapshot, Replication, alerting and monitoring, Capacity Management, Reporting, Basic troubleshooting etc. Administration of SAN Switches , monitoring configuration Professional degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of solid experience working on Enterprise Storage Arrays Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA (any 02) Aptitude towards problem solving and troubleshooting skills on Tape Libraries, Library Management software, SAN connectivity, backup software etc., including log analysis. Familiar with SNMP & SMTP protocols General knowledge of networking concepts and iSCSI protocol. Basic knowledge & understanding of Storage arrays. Preferable: Hands on experience in Operations and Support on Backup applications like Commvault, Veeam, Data Protector & Rubrik (any one). Must Have: Nimble, 3PAR, Primera, Alletra, MSA storage (any two) SAN fundamentals , Switch Zoning, FOS upgrade etc. HPE Nearline Backup Products - StoreOnce, MSL Tape Library Operating system (any one of Windows, Linux, HPUX) Basic Virtualization concepts
