Steward (waiter)
Job Description
Their main responsibilities typically include:
• Greeting customers upon arrival and escorting them to their tables.
• Presenting menus and offering food or drink recommendations.
• Taking orders from customers, ensuring any special requests or dietary restrictions are noted.
• Serving food and beverages in a timely manner, making sure the presentation is correct.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction by checking in during the meal and responding to additional requests.
• Clearing tables and preparing them for the next set of guests.
• Handling payments , either at the table or by directing customers to a payment counter.
• Coordinating with kitchen staff , bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
