Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

• Cleaning and Sanitizing : Ensure all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and surfaces are cleaned and sanitized properly.
• Dishwashing : Operate dishwashing machines, hand wash delicate or oversized items, and ensure that dishes and utensils are returned to the appropriate areas.
• Storage Management : Organize and maintain stock in dry storage, refrigerators, and freezers; ensure proper handling of supplies.
• Waste Management : Dispose of waste properly, including recyclables, food scraps, and general waste, adhering to the hotel's waste disposal guidelines.
• Assisting with Food Preparation : Support the kitchen team by assisting in food prep, such as peeling vegetables or preparing garnishes, if required.
• Inventory Assistance : Help in checking inventory and reporting shortages or damaged goods to the supervisor.
• Health and Safety Compliance : Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
• Maintaining Kitchen Organization : Keep kitchen areas, including floors, walls, and storage rooms, neat and tidy.
• Customer Service : In certain settings, assist in the front of house by ensuring that customers have a clean and welcoming dining experience.
• Support other departments : Occasionally assist other departments (e.g., front desk, housekeeping) with their needs, particularly in high-demand situations.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Education : High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience : Previous experience in foodservice, cleaning, or related fields preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to assist other team members.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ?18,000.00 per month
