• Maintaining cleanliness Stewards keep the dining area, kitchen, and service areas clean and sanitary. This includes wiping down tables, chairs, and booths, and picking up debris.
• Inventory management Stewards manage inventory for kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies. This includes getting supplies, tracking inventory levels, and reordering items.
• Supervising staff Stewards oversee the kitchen and service staff, including scheduling, training, and supervising.
• Customer service Stewards provide customer service, such as greeting patrons, seating patrons, taking reservations, and answering phone calls.
• Assisting with cooking Stewards may assist with basic cooking tasks, such as blending soups and prepping vegetables.
• Safety and sanitation Stewards comply with all safety and sanitation procedures.
• Managing crowds Stewards may manage crowds, such as at an event, by ensuring attendees feel secure and by controlling crowd density.
