We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Restaurant Steward to join our team. As a Restaurant Steward, you will ensure the cleanliness and organization of both the front and back of the restaurant, supporting kitchen and service teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This role involves maintaining hygiene standards, managing table setups, and assisting with other tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dining Area Cleanliness : Ensure that dining areas, including tables, chairs, and floors, are clean, tidy, and ready for guests at all times.
• Table Setting : Set and reset tables according to the restaurant's standards, ensuring that all necessary utensils, glasses, and napkins are in place.
• Dishwashing and Cleaning : Assist with cleaning dishes, glassware, and utensils, as well as keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
• Waste Management : Dispose of waste, clean trash bins, and ensure that garbage is properly managed in both the dining and kitchen areas.
• Restroom Maintenance : Regularly check and clean restrooms, ensuring they are well-stocked and sanitary for guests.
• Stock and Supply Management : Monitor and restock service stations with supplies such as napkins, cutlery, condiments, and glassware.
• Assist with Food Service : Assist servers by bringing food and drinks from the kitchen to the dining area when needed, ensuring smooth and timely service.
• Support Kitchen Staff : Assist the kitchen team in food prep tasks and equipment cleaning as necessary.
• Customer Service : Engage with guests courteously when necessary, ensuring they have everything they need for a pleasant dining experience.
• Health & Safety Compliance : Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health standards are maintained across the restaurant.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and order.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• A customer-service mindset with the ability to handle guest requests politely and efficiently.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
