We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Steward to join our team at Shilton Hospitality LLP. As a Steward, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas. This is an essential position for maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment, supporting our kitchen staff, and helping deliver a great experience to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ensure the kitchen and storage areas are organized, stocked, and well-maintained.
• Assist in cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, kitchen floors, and dining areas.
• Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and dining areas regularly.
• Assist kitchen staff with food prep or other tasks as needed.
• Monitor the cleanliness and condition of kitchen equipment and notify management of any maintenance issues.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when stock is low.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure the safe and proper handling of waste and recycling materials.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a steward, dishwashing, or similar role preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team environment.
