Key Responsibilities:Food and Beverage Service Support:

  • Assist in setting up tables for service, ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly set with utensils, glassware, and napkins.
  • Help waitstaff with serving food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure the presentation of food and beverages meets the restaurant's standards before serving.
  • Refill beverages, clear plates, and assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the dining area.
Cleaning and Hygiene Maintenance:
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and other surfaces.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize dishware, glassware, and utensils.
  • Ensure proper cleanliness of floors, windows, and restrooms, if required.
  • Adhere to hygiene and safety regulations for the cleanliness of all areas, especially the kitchen and dining area.
Assisting Kitchen Staff:
  • Transport clean dishes, cutlery, and glassware to the kitchen for washing.
  • Ensure that kitchen utensils, pots, and pans are cleaned and returned to the appropriate stations.
  • Assist in sorting and storing kitchen supplies, as well as helping with inventory management.
Stocking and Organization:
  • Help in stocking supplies like napkins, cutlery, condiments, and cleaning materials.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness in storage areas, ensuring that all supplies are organized and accessible.
Guest Support:
  • Assist guests in any additional needs, such as providing extra condiments, refills, or utensils.
  • Maintain a positive and helpful attitude toward guests, ensuring they are comfortable and satisfied with their experience.
Handling Dirty Dishware:
  • Properly dispose of trash and food waste, ensuring the kitchen area remains clean.
  • Collect dirty plates, cutlery, and glasses from tables and return them to the washing station.
Assisting in Banquet or Special Events:
  • Support in large dining events or special occasions, such as buffets, banquets, or private functions.
  • Help in preparing the event area by setting up tables and ensuring all necessary items are available for service.
Equipment Maintenance:
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment, such as dishwashers, mops, and brushes, are functioning properly and well-maintained.
  • Report any broken or damaged equipment to the supervisor for repair or replacement.
Waste Management:
  • Properly dispose of food scraps, trash, and recyclables.
  • Help with garbage collection and make sure bins are emptied when full, following proper waste disposal practices.
