As a Steward, you will assist in providing superior service to passengers, ensuring their comfort, and maintaining cleanliness in all areas. You will be responsible for attending to the guests' needs, supporting the dining services, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety onboard the vessel.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Guest Service:
Provide excellent customer service by attending to guests' needs, including requests for food, drinks, and general assistance.
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming environment.
Take meal and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen or bar.
Assist guests with seating arrangements and answer questions about the menu or cruise itinerary.
2.Food & Beverage Service:
Serve food and beverages to passengers in the dining areas, ensuring the quality and presentation meet the cruise's standards.
Maintain a clean and organized service area.
Monitor guest satisfaction during meal times and address any concerns promptly.
Prepare and clear tables, reset for the next seating.
3.Cleanliness & Hygiene:
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of guest cabins, dining areas, lounges, and other public spaces.
Follow strict cleaning and hygiene protocols to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.
Set up and clean dining tables, including setting silverware, glassware, and linens.
4.Teamwork & Communication:
Collaborate with kitchen, housekeeping, and other team members to ensure seamless service.
Communicate any guest feedback or special requests to the supervisor.
Assist in stocking supplies and managing inventory in dining areas.
5.Safety & Emergency Procedures:
Familiarize yourself with the cruise's safety and emergency procedures.
Ensure guests are informed about safety protocols, including life-jacket instructions and evacuation plans.
Report any safety hazards or issues to the supervisor or cruise director.
6.Additional Duties:
Perform any other duties related to hospitality, including assisting with entertainment or passenger activities.
Help with boarding and disembarking procedures when necessary.
Attend training sessions and meetings as required by the management.
