Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Steward to oversee the daily operations of our in-house restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, leadership experience, and a strong ability to maintain the highest standards of food and service quality while ensuring guest satisfaction. As the Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the restaurant team, optimizing operations, and maintaining a smooth and pleasant dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day restaurant operations, including staff supervision, guest service, and quality control.
• Ensure consistent high standards of food and beverage service, in line with the resort's brand.
• Lead, train, and motivate restaurant staff to ensure outstanding customer service.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and stock management to ensure smooth service without interruptions.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
• Handle guest feedback, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage schedules, staffing levels, and employee performance.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Monitor and control restaurant budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and appealing menu offerings.
• Organize special events and themed dinners to attract guests and enhance their dining experience.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure consistent delivery of products.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience as a similar role within the hospitality industry (preferably in a luxury hotel/resort setting).
• Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, staff management, and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A degree or diploma in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of food, beverages, and fine dining service standards.
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of POS systems and restaurant management software is an advantage.
