Customer Service

: Stewards are expected to provide excellent service to guests or passengers. This includes greeting them, taking their orders, answering any questions, and ensuring their needs are met throughout the experience.

Food and Beverage Service

: In hospitality or airline settings, stewards are responsible for serving food and drinks. This involves presenting food correctly, ensuring it is served at the proper temperature, and addressing any dietary requirements or special requests.

Maintaining Cleanliness

: Stewards must ensure that the environment remains clean and organized. This involves clearing tables, cleaning dishes, and maintaining a tidy workspace.

Safety and Emergency Protocols

: In the case of airline stewards (flight attendants), they are trained to handle emergencies. This includes assisting passengers in the event of turbulence, evacuations, or medical emergencies. They also ensure that safety equipment is available and functional.

Guest Comfort
