: Steward
Position Overview :
The Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. This role ensures dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized, supporting kitchen operations and food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Dishwashing & Cleaning : Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools; clean surfaces and kitchen areas.
• Support Kitchen Staff : Assist with basic food prep, restock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in storage areas.
• Sanitation & Safety : Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines; ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Waste Management : Dispose of trash and manage waste in line with policies.
Qualifications:
• Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Working Conditions:
Fast-paced, physical work requiring standing for long periods and working weekends or holidays.
Opportunities:
Potential for advancement to roles like Lead Steward or Kitchen Assistant.
