Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, floors, and equipment.
• Ensure that clean utensils and plates are always available for chefs and dining services.
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas.
• Maintain and stock the dishwashing station and other designated areas with required cleaning supplies.
• Assist in receiving and organizing deliveries of food, equipment, and cleaning supplies.
• Notify management when cleaning supplies or kitchen stock is running low.
• Organize and store all materials properly, ensuring they are readily accessible for the kitchen team.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Adhere to restaurant policies regarding sanitation and cleanliness.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by following appropriate cleaning protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with chefs, kitchen managers, and front-of-house staff to fulfill any immediate needs.
• Maintain a positive and efficient work environment, contributing to overall kitchen morale.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is a plus but not required.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and sanitation standards.
