Through our people, leadership development, services, technology and scale, Wabtec delivers better outcomes for global customers by speaking the language of industry.Standard Car Truck \xe2\x80\x93 India Foundry Operations DirectorLocation: Kolkata, IndiaSUMMARY:The SCT Foundry Operations Director \xe2\x80\x93 India, will be responsible for conferring with both the TPV India staff at all levels as well as other suppliers and customers within the region on all business matters, in order to further the interests of Wabtec and priorities set by the General Manager, Engineering Sales \xe2\x80\x93 Tech Services.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Being the key account manager for India
• Understanding and applying the techniques of P.O.M and Project Management
• Monitor facility performance, track TPV tends for accurate forecasting
• Apply short and long term production planning techniques to Wabtec and TPV supplied products
• Apply customer services techniques
• Communicate technical information/translations
• Apply negotiation techniques when appropriate
• Develop records management system
• Direct personnel in support of engineering activities
• Translate material INR \xe2\x80\x93 Eng, Eng \xe2\x80\x93 INR
• Conduct and attend meetings as required
• Coordinate engineering project activities
• Read technical drawings
• Understand engineering data or reports
• Understand and explain rules, policies, or regulations in India
• Identify training needs
• Travel as necessary within India as well as internationally when required

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering Discipline
• Bachelor Degree in Metallurgy preferred

• Proficient with MS Office suite
• Experience in manufacturing environment and/or logistics
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize needs of the site and department
• Strong communication skills
• Rail industry experience
• Engineering knowledge and capabilities
• Extensive Foundry and metallurgic knowledge
• Knowledge of Indian rail laws and policies
