As Staff Technical Product Manager, you'll operate in lock-step with product management to create a clear strategic direction for build needs. You'll direct the team with a clear set of requirements captured as stories and collaborate to determine deliverables based on need.



In this role, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities - Software

• Working with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant products
• Owning the short-term roadmap for MVPs and quarterly releases
• Prioritizing continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs
• Engaging frequently (80%) with the development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions
• Owning and managing the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready
• Collaborating with UX in design decisions, demonstrating deep understanding of technology stack and impact on final product
• Being regarded as an expert in Agile Methodology; translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning
• Demonstrating superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering team
• Demonstrating excelling business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape

Responsibilities - Hardware

• Overseeing hardware improvements used for Edge devices
• Overseeing Edge device integration with other software / controllers.

Responsibilities - Operation Management

• Conducting customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate on personas
• Planning and execution of field trials and commercial deployments.
• Working closely with regional field technicians

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's Degree. A minimum 7 years of professional experience.
• Have experience working in Agile engineering environment
• Have experience in Upstream Oil & Gas, having focused on:


+ Artificial lift SCADA system or similar IoT use case operations
+ Working in the field with artificial lift or chemical automation surface equipment.
+ Must be familiar with ESP operation and understand typical operational challenges.
• Show understanding of serial, analog and remote communications
• Have a familiarity with remote communication systems and troubleshooting
• Have experience with Rod lift, gas lift and PCP controllers
• Have experience with Mesh networking and additional surface sensors.
• Have experience with downhole sensors and equipment
• Show ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility
