Responsible for test creation, testing a large module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area independently, Contributing to the immediate team and to other teams across business; Leading software quality engineering discussions and mentoring of other junior quality engineers.

Staff Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation) JD Responsible for contributing as a QA advocate for a team doing front end & back end testing with focus on Web, SaaS and mobile platform based products.

• Experienced with working with Javascript frameworks like WebDriverIO, Playwright or Protractor.

• Own medium-sized quality engineering tasks, deliver while mentoring and helping team members.
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
• Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process.
• Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.
• Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project and keeps abreast of evolving QA industry processes and standards.
• Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.
• Master the basics of underlying Manufacturing domain.

Desired Characteristics & Technical Expertise

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science or in \xe2\x80\x9cSTEM\xe2\x80\x9d Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• A minimum of 8 to 12 years of Software Testing experience with Web or SaaS Platform based products, SQL Server databases.
• At least 4 year of experience in owning modules and mentoring teammates.
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science or in \xe2\x80\x9cSTEM\xe2\x80\x9d Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• Working knowledge on cloud technologies (AZURE, AWS)
• Experience on building Test Automation Frameworks specifically in Java, Javascript / Type Script like WebDriverIO or Playwright
• Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST; Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.)
• Experience testing hosted or SaaS-based solutions.
• Familiar with relational database design and good working knowledge of SQL for querying, updating, and deleting data.
• Strong proficiency with functional, regression, performance and stability testing techniques.
• Experience working in a cross-functional development team with the ability to influence quality of products in that environment.
• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.
• Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Effective team building and problem-solving abilities.
